A 14-year-old boy was stabbed to death on a Manhattan subway platform on Saturday afternoon, police say.
The teen, who has not yet been identified pending notification of his family, was involved in an argument with the suspected killer just before he was knifed in the abdomen, the New York City Police Department said.
The tragedy unfolded at the 137th Street/City College subway station just after 3 p.m., when sources cited by the New York Post said a brawl erupted among a group of teens.
Elegance Bratton’s “The Inspection” has been tapped as the closing night selection of the 60th New York Film Festival.
The film, a deeply personal drama about Bratton’s experiences as a gay man in Marine Corps basic training, will have its U.S. premiere on Oct. 14 at Alice Tully Hall. It marks Bratton’s narrative debut. He previously directed the documentary “Pier Kids,” a look at homeless queer and transgender youth in New York, and the Viceland series “My House,” which examined underground competitive ballroom dancing.
Hall of Famer John Smoltz and former Met and Yankee Al Leiter will no longer appear in-studio for MLB Network after refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine, The Post has learned.
MLBN has made it mandatory for all employees to be vaccinated, with the mandate going into effect Sept. 1. MLBN executives, Smoltz and Leiter made a compromise to keep them on-the-air, but not in the Secaucus studios. They will both appear remotely for the shows.
According to Best Life, Hopkins reportedly once referred to MacLaine as “the most obnoxious actor I’ve ever worked with.” He kept it short and not so sweet, declining to elaborate on why he despised his co-star so much while the two were stuck filming “A Change of Seasons” together. As you’d probably expect, Hopkins and MacLaine have yet to work together again. Perhaps it was because their first and only project alongside one another failed terrifically, but the fact that they hated each other likely had something to do with it as well.
The fallout between star football wide receiver Antonio Brown and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is not over yet. Brown was cut from the team earlier this month after cameras captured him taking off his shoulder pads, jersey and undershirt and leaving the field in the middle of a game.
In his first network news interview since the episode, Brown told “CBS Mornings” co-host Nate Burleson that the on-field incident was triggered by an ankle injury that he says was not taken seriously by his coach.
