Paolello graduated from Northern Kentucky University and thought she wanted to work as a news reporter in a big metropolis like New York or Chicago following graduation. She determined she wanted to work in her hometown after working as a crime reporter in South Bend, Dayton, and Charlotte, covering everything from tornadoes to murder trials to the 9/11 terror attacks.

She was hired as a general assignment reporter by WLWT in 2002. Sheree covered stories all throughout the Tri-State for two years before moving on to anchoring in 2004. She adds that she considers herself extremely fortunate to be doing what she loves in the city where she grew up and that it is simple to report on stories when you are familiar with the town and feel connected to the people and their concerns.
