Just over two months after singer Chris Daughtry’s beloved stepdaughter Hannah Price passed away at just 25 years of age, the family confirmed her cause of death.
Price was found dead November 12, 2021 at her home in Fentress County, Tennessee, with the family now confirming she died from ‘suicide while under the influence of narcotics,’ according to People.
‘Our beloved Daughter Hannah Price passed away on November 12th, 2021. Much speculation has been made since that date, and after a full investigation by law enforcement we are now able to speak in further detail,’ the statement began.

The statement from Daughtry and his family revealed that Price had struggled with mental illness from a young age and she was, ‘in and out of therapy and treatment centers’ for many years.
‘As Hannah got older, she struggled to find her footing and began using drugs and often found herself in abusive relationships,’ the family statement continued.
‘Just months after losing her biological father to suicide, Hannah was the victim of a crime and was shot in the face,’ they added.

The family said they, ‘did everything we could to support her and get her the help she needed to recover from these tragedies and get her life back on track,’ adding they recently, ‘made plans with Hannah for her to seek further treatment and move closer to the family.’
They added that they got a call from Price on the morning of her death, saying she, ‘was in fear for her life.’
She told them that her boyfriend physically abused her and took their car, with the family calling the Fentress County Police Department to perform a wellness check.
Support: The family said they, ‘did everything we could to support her and get her the help she needed to recover from these tragedies and get her life back on track,’ adding they recently, ‘made plans with Hannah for her to seek further treatment and move closer to the family.
The wellness check was performed and they determined she was ‘OK’ by 1 PM and they left, but she was found later dead by hanging later that day by her boyfriend, who called 911.
The authorities determined there was no evidence of foul play, which comes months after Hannah’s mother Deanna Daughtry, 48, debunked rumors that her death was being investigated as a homicide.
‘Hannah was a generous and loving person who wanted more for herself and others. She will forever be in the hearts and minds of those of us who love her,’ the statement continued.
