Pauly Shore says that he and the other stars of Encino Man are ready to film a sequel on Instagram

Pauly Shore shared he would like to make a sequel to the hit 1992 comedy film Encino Man in a post on his Instagram account. The 53-year-old comedian shared a throwback photo with his costar Brendan Fraser during a break from shooting the hit film.

The Bio-Dome actor also wrote a message to let his followers know about his both he and Fraser wanted to make a sequel.

Shore began by writing: ’29 years ago this weekend, Encino Man hit the big screen.’

The Jury Duty star then described what was going on in the photo and wished his 52-year-old costar well.

‘Heres a personal pic with myself and Brendan Fraser on the set. Peace Brendan, miss you. Hope you’re doing great in this crazy world,’ he wrote.

The performer then commented that his friend’s hand sign denoted that a sequel to the 1992 feature was being planned.

Shore expressed, ‘And you guys know what Brendans peace sign means right? Encino Man 2 doooooooddzzzz.’

The comedian directed his fans to let Disney know about their hope for a second film and concluded by referencing an iconic line from the movie.  

‘Hit up Disney+ and tell them myself, Brendan, and Sean are ready for the sequel. Have a great Memorial Day weekend everybody. We’ll be wiezen the juice,’ he wrote.

Shore has campaigned for the production of a second film in the past, and he shared another throwback photo from the film’s set to his Instagram account last November.

In the post’s caption, he asked: ‘How many people want to see Encino Man 2?!’ 

Encino Man followed a caveman, nicknamed Link, who is found by a pair of teenagers in 1990s-era California. They help Link adapt to modern life by styling his hair and giving him new clothes.

Other performers who were featured in the film were Sean Astin, Megan Ward and Michael DeLuise.

The feature was critically panned but was a financial success, bringing in just over $40 million on a budget of $7 million.

Fraser reprised his role as Link in a brief cameo in Shore’s 1993 film Son In Law and made a second appearance as a character with the same name in the 1994 feature In The Army Now.
