Usman was knocked out in the fifth round of his welterweight title bout with British fighter Leon Edwards, who delivered a lethal head-kick to win his first UFC championship.

And now the social-media-star-turned-boxer Paul has chimed in with some brutal jokes at the expense of the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’.

Paul took to Twitter to send out a number of personal insults towards Usman, starting with a Tweet that read: ‘LOLOLOLLOL “Let me fight Canelo” @USMAN84kg’.

The 25-year-old then posted a Photoshopped image of the internet star performing a rear naked choke on the UFC star.

Finally, he finished posted a video with the music ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star’ playing in the background as the camera zooms in on Usman unconscious on the ground.

The feud between them began when Paul called out the UFC star for a boxing fight, before Usman went on a podcast and claimed that he would ‘dog walk’ the YouTube sensation.

Paul also taunted the UFC star for wanting to fight Canelo Alvarez, after the two fighters traded blows on Twitter.

Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, labelled the Mexican ‘an absolute chicken’ for what he saw as ducking Usman, to which the boxer simply replied: ‘Who the f*** is this?’.

That exchange prompted a back-and-forth between both pound-for-pound No 1s of their respective sports but no crossover fight has been put in place yet.

The chances of a super fight take place have arguably been hindered by Usman’s shock loss to Edwards on Saturday.
