A mother offered to lend her daughter her own lingerie to help reignite her post-baby ‘hanky panky’ with her husband on sMothered.
In tonight’s episode of the discovery+ show, Florida-based mother Dawn, 60, decides to take it upon herself to reignite her daughter Cher’s, 30, sex life with her husband Jared, which has gone stale since the birth of their daughter, Belle, 18 months ago.
They say there’s no time like the present, and Dawn decides to broach the subject with the couple over breakfast.
‘I’m just curious, you’re always together and you’re always with Belle,’ says Dawn. ‘When do you get alone time? When do you have sex?’

Smiling nervously, Jared doesn’t know where to look, as he sheepishly shovels food into his mouth.
‘It’s so embarrassing when my mother brings up sex in front of Jared,’ Cher explains. ‘It’s one thing when you talk to me about it, it’s another when you talk to me about in front of Jared.’
Smiling devilishly, Dawn won’t let Jared’s awkward silence deter her.
‘I was talking about it with Cher, you should have some alone time, I want to make that happen so you could be intimate,’ she says.

With every word that comes out of Dawn’s mouth, Jared looks more uncomfortable, wanting the ground to swallow him up.
‘You know, it’s hard; you’re breastfeeding, you have no babysitter, you’re totally 24/7,’ Dawn adds. ‘I think you both need alone time, and if you get the alone time you could have a little hanky panky!’
Despite her mother’s best attempts to wingman for her and her husband, and despite the tight bond they share, even Cher can’t take it anymore.
‘Oh my God mom, stop!’ she wails.
Speaking to camera, Dawn lets on that she may have an ulterior motive in encouraging her daughter to book in some alone time with her husband.
‘I’m so excited for Cher and Jared to have alone time and, you know, maybe they will have some sex and maybe I’ll end up with another grandchild,’ she smiles. ‘That would be unbelievable!’
Spurred on by the prospect of another grandchild, Dawn goes even further, offering the young married couple not just alone time, but something to help spice things up in the bedroom.
Cher picks up a slick red one-piece (pictured) and says to her mother: ‘What is that?! That is hot!’
‘You know, before you came, I did some shopping and I got you some really cute lingerie to put on,’ she cheekily reveals, much to Jared’s horror!
‘Eww, are these hand-me-downs?’ Jared jokingly questions.
However, much to his dismay, he’s not entirely wrong.
‘I did buy really cute ones but if she didn’t like them, I was thinking of her using some of mine that are really adorable and hot,’ Dawn explains. ‘If you want to see my stuff too, you’re welcome!’
And with that, a slack-jawed Jared can’t take anymore.
‘Eww, we don’t want to know!’ he says, doing his best to laugh the conversation off. ‘Some things are not meant to be shared with other people in the family.
With Jared out of earshot, Cher has a quiet word with her mother.
‘I appreciate that you want to do that, it’s so nice and I am so excited to try it on, but you shouldn’t say it in front of Jared,’ she scolds.
Later, with Jared busy elsewhere, Dawn and Cher find some time to rifle through a mountain of lingerie and underwear – some new and some not so new for Cher to try.

‘You could choose what you would like for this special night,’ Dawn says, encouraging her daughter to begin rummaging for something saucy.
‘I feel like a lingerie store just came to my house!’ Cher says, excitedly. ‘Lately my mother has been, like, obsessed with the fact that Jared and I haven’t been having as much alone time, and when she gets on something there’s no stopping her. But we do need some sexy time, maybe she’s right!’
Starting with a slick red one-piece, the girls get off to a good start.
‘What is that?! That is hot!’ Cher beams.
Next, Cher picks up a white, stringy piece, and expresses nothing but confusion.
‘Where does everything go? It’s a little much, this one,’ she says blushingly.
But after working their way through Dawn’s purchases, Dawn starts going through her own personal wardrobe to see if she can spark a reaction from her daughter.
‘These are things you’ve worn with daddy?’ Cher asks.
After creasing with embarrassment, Cher’s eyes light up when Dawn produces a sexy, black lacy garment.
‘That’s cute, have you worn the panties though?’ Cher asks.
And Dawn’s response is, let’s say, a little bit more than Cher bargained for: ‘Yeah, but for a second, do you think they stay on that long?’
