Comedian Bill Burr called CNN ‘f*****g morons’ for continuing to talk about Donald Trump and said, ‘They want Darth Vader to come back.’

It was part of a three-plus-minute, profanity-laced rant on Thursday’s episode of Burr’s ‘Monday Morning Podcast,’ where he ripped 24-hour cable news networks, particularly CNN.

‘I can’t believe people watch that channel,’ Burr said. ‘They want Darth Vader to come back because they got nothing to talk about because it’s show business, and Joe Biden is a f*****g bore.

‘So now what do they do? They’re doing what they did the first time to get this guy elected by giving him all this free coverage while they act like they allegedly don’t like him. I don’t buy it. They are a corporate news channel.

‘They’re f*****g treasonous un-American pieces of shit, just like Fox News, MSNBC, just like all of them. Just like f*****g all of them.’

Burr has been hosting this podcast since 2007 and talks about what is on his mind at the time.

He says on his website, ‘None of his opinions are based on any sort of reliable information. He tends to go with his first thought, because reading makes him sleepy.’

In this case, he talked about a subject that seems to be backed by numbers.

The Biden administration seemingly zapped CNN’s audiences.

Last Thursday, the network didn’t have a single program surpass the 1-million viewer plateau, and averaged only 654,000 viewers during the second quarter of 2021, Fox News reported.

The Washington Times reported in late June that CNN as a whole lost 44 percent of its total audience since the last week of January when ratings peaked following the insurrection of the Capitol.

All of the cable news networks saw year-over-year ratings decline for the second quarter of 2021, but CNN’s 57percent drop was the biggest prime time loss among the cable news networks.

Fox News declined by 42percent, and MSNBC dropped by 37percent, Forbes reported.

In the second quarter of 2021, Fox was the top-rated network on basic cable, according to the Nielson ratings.

Burr continued to rip all cable news channels – not just CNN – for running negative stories about wildfires, race relations and COVID-19.

‘They got to make you feel like s**t. You got to scare the hell out of them. You got to make them feel like they have a virus, their house is going to burn down and the Nazis are coming. Those are the tentpoles that make for a great half hour of news,’ Burr said.

He said he wants to see a two to one ratio of negative stories to positive stories.

‘You do a story that involves race relations where people are actually getting along,’ Burr said.
